Seated assemblypeople were selected by local planetary governments or the direct vote of their worlds to be candidates for their respective Subsector assemblies and were lucky to actually be selected by a computerized random lottery to actually sit on the Subsector assembly and with the power to vote on local Subsector policies and resolutions and to elect members of the Sector assembly.
Only 2 to 5 percent of candidates for Subsector assemblies were selected as seated assemblypeople.
A Subsector assembly could anywhere from 500 to 5000 seated assemblypeople, and it also elected 50 members to the sector assembly.
